APIVITAL® syrup AND SUCROSE COMPARISON

FEEDING SUCROSE

Long time ago, every beekeeper was facing the question how to refill the honey supplies taken away from bees - and so missing for wintering. The reason why sucrose, i.e. white table sugar was used is obvious – there was no other the affordable and suitable feed available.

The proportion of sugar and water 3:2 was not chosen randomly either. The sugar-making experience says that sugar solution over 68% (Bx) leads back to crystallizing. That is why three portions of sugar and two portions of water was used by beekeepers.

Such solution has concentration 60% (Bx) and is resistant to crystallizing.

HIGH ENERGETIC DEMAND

Yet we are facing quite an anomalous fact here. There is no natural source of free sucrose and it is therefore a kind of "unknown sugar" for the bees.

Strange enough, bees are able to split the disaccharide sucrose using enzymes and to make fructose and glucose from it. It means they make their own invert sugar.
However, this is very biologically arduous for them and it demands a lot of energy. Approximately 23% of the sucrose solution supplied is spent on its splitting, evaporating water and depositing to combs. Read more about it here: Zaboenko A. S. (2000)– Sovremennaja enciklopedija pchelovoda. Doneck: 75 – 76

WHY IS THE APIVITAL® syrup FEED BETTER THAN TABLE SUGAR

We have developed bee feed that is indeed pure, safe, cheap and very easy to use both for the bees and the beekeeper.

Compare:

  • APIVITAL® syrup has more natural composition, than table sugar
  • our bee feed is absolutely pure
(which you probably cannot say about some very cheap crystal table sugars available on the market)
  • after wintering on our bee feed, the bees are in spring stronger, more vital and develop faster
  • it will be much easier, comfortable and quickly for you to handle than the in comparison with usual table sugar solution. You will find it especially unbeatable if you have many hives or luck of time
  • our bee feed is produced in a Czech factory. It is certificated and has been so far twice tested by Bee Research Institute at Dol (VÚVč) on our own request, both times with positive and equal results
  • you will buy our liquide bee feed at excellent price – if you compare all costs connected to buying the feed and feeding, and also all the benefits, you will find out our feed is far the best choice for wintering in comparison with both, table sugar and usual feeds available on the market
  • you do not have to mix and dissolve anything or even warm it up (and therefore unintentionally create more HMF!). All you need to do is to take off the lid and star feeding

    AS SIMPLE AS THAT..
